Alia Bhatt-Ranbir Kapoor’s mehendi ceremony: Neetu Kapoor has Rishi Kapoor’s name written on his palms
Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor, who have been dating since 2017, are set to wed today. Ahead of the wedding, a mehendi function was held on Wednesday attended by family members and close friends.
The mother of the groom, Neetu Kapoor, shared a photo of her mehendi adorned palms on her Instagram Stories. Fans were thrilled to see that she wrote her late husband Rishi Kapoor’s name in her henna design.
Neetu’s daughter Riddhima Kapoor Sahni and her niece Karisma Kapoor also shared photos of them putting on the mehendi during the ceremony yesterday. Neetu also shared a photo from the dance rehearsal for the wedding festivities. She wrote “Our dance team” on the photo.
Other guests who attended the mehendi function included Kareena Kapoor Khan, Karisma Kapoor, Karan Johar, Ayan Mukerji, Mahesh Bhat, Pooja Bhatt and Rahul Bhatt. As they were leaving Vastu, Pooja and Mahesh were seen with mehendi on their palms.
Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor started dating while working on Brahmastra. Earlier in an interview with indianexpress.com, Alia said that she doesn’t want to hide her relationship with Ranbir anymore.
“I’m not going to lie that I’m not in a relationship. Also in terms of age, I’m past the point where I would hide it. Of course I’m in a relationship and I’m very happy and deeply in love with Ranbir and I believe in relationship. Right now I’m a very ‘dil wala’ person. I’m kinda romantic in that sense, like ‘pyar kiya toh darna kya’. He’s someone I love. deeply love and admire and feel very comfortable with. It’s been the purpose of our relationship for so many years. I’m too comfortable not to talk about it,” he said. she declared.
