Arjun Kapoor says he would do anything to be fearless again: ‘I’ve been tangled for the past 8-9 years in the chaos of being a star’

Actor Arjun Kapoor spent nine years in the cinema. Born into the industry, so to speak, perhaps playing was a logical step. From the brave and grungy Ishaqzaade of Habib Faisal in 2012 to the mellow Sardar Ka Grandson who debuted on Netflix this Tuesday, it was a mixed bag for Arjun, the actor. He delivered hits, and he gave a few hiccups – an arc most actors will recognize.

But how has this decade been for Arjun, the person? As we sat down with him to talk about Sardar Ka Grandson, we asked him what advice he would give to his young self, from the moment he entered the Hindi film industry.

“(Instead) I would ask my younger self for advice. I was much more intrepid back then. I had nothing to lose. I feel like I have been confused for the past 8-9 years just being caught in the chaos of being a star. There was much more purity and clarity. I would like to come back to that, ”said Arjun.

Speaking of those days, he adds, “In fact, I would do anything to find that mindset and keep it for the rest of my career. I think it’s something we all try to hold onto, but it’s impossible because there is a natural progression, some corruption and confusion. I was fearless then, so be it. Sometimes you have to be that honest, which I miss all the time. “

Arjun KapoorThe latest version of her album revolves around her character Amreek, who is there to make her grandmother’s last wish come true – to visit Lahore which she left behind during the score. As circumstances prevent him from going to Pakistan, he decides to bring him Lahore.

The Netflix movie has a female cast including Neena Gupta, Rakul Preet Singh, Soni Razdan, Divya Seth, and Aditi Rao Hydari, and was directed by Kaashvie Nair. Arjun previously shared a selfie with the women, and captioned it “always been a ladies’ man.”

He thinks work is getting more orderly in an all-female team. “Sardar Ka Grandson would be incomplete without women. I feel like I could be replaced. I felt welcomed by the ladies and I’m always happy about it. More than me being the ladies man, this one was slightly upset, ”Arjun shared with a smile.

So what was it like on sets with them? “It’s always fun to work with women because they have this ability to nourish themselves, they allow your mistakes, they are much more forgiving, there is more heat on a set. There is a certain ease and fluidity. Running a household is also a skill set for women because they know how to move around. Men create confusion and chaos because they don’t know how to articulate their emotions. Women do it faster and easier, and labor just goes more orderly. This is what I felt.

Sardar Ka Grandson also stars Kanwaljit Singh, Kumud Mishra and John Abraham.
