Avengers Assemble: Thank you Marvel, for all those superhero moments that define the franchise

It was an emotional moment for fans around the world as Steve Rogers called on the Avengers to “ come together ” before facing Thanos in Avengers: Endgame (2019). As Cap gave the battle cry “ Avengers Assemble ” which was first said by Thor in The Avengers # 10 in 1964, it was an electric moment not only for Marvel maniacs, but for Marvel too. Studios. The production banner, which likely refrained from using the phrase in its previous films, finally got its due.

“ Avengers Assemble ” might be the perfect climax of The Infinity Saga, but it wasn’t the first time our superheroes have come together against a common enemy. Marvel Studios is a champion at creating such adrenaline pumping yet emotional moments in all of its films, especially when it involves the team.

For me, it all started with such a moment in his 2012 film – The Avengers. I’ve never been a fan of superheroes and this one happened by accident. But when the original six joined forces against the Chitauri and Joss Whedon’s camera captured them, the timing changed everything for me.

The Avengers was the sixth film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). Soon I realized that creating character impressions was Marvel’s strong suit, which its competition was striving to achieve.

Marvel architect Kevin Feige has given us over a dozen defining moments in the MCU movies, from the ‘I Am Iron Man’ dialogue to the introduction to Spider-Man, with Bruce Banner revealing ‘I still am angry ”to this thrilling elevator fight scene in Captain America The Winter Soldier. If you remember Thor going back to his elements on the Led Zeppelin sound, you’ll also remember Peter Quill dancing to save the day. From Thanos’ breathtaking snap to the two teams charging against each other at Leipzig / Halle Airport, to Captain America proving he’s worthy of Hela smashing Thor’s hammer – that’s more than moments in cinema, they are a legitimate pop phenomenon.

Marvel, in their 11 years of travel, has given us a lot of footage that we can cheer on. Besides, even the little post-credits shawarma lunch respite after a stressful climax was delicious.

When Marvel Studios released their first movie in The Infinity Saga – Iron Man in 2008, many called it a gamble. But over a decade later, he’s managed to create one of the most successful franchises, aside from giving us a league of superheroes that mattered for a number of reasons.

The success of the Marvel films can mainly be attributed to three men – Alan Horn, Kevin Feige and Bob Iger. The original plan was to develop several standalone superhero trilogies that would go through crossover events, like the Avengers movies. But Marvel Studios director Kevin Feige has become the mastermind behind the development of the shared universe strategy. Being an avid comic book fan and his long-term association with the studios only helped him structure an expanded timeline spanning three phases.

Even if you are not a particular Marvel fan, there is something for everyone in all of its productions. 23 movies and nearly 30 superheroes later, MCU is a force to be reckoned with in Hollywood and the world.
