The pandemic has influenced global fashion in many ways, spawning new clothes and tendencies. At the same time, with people spending most of their time at home, there has been a revival of easy and comfortable clothing.
Among these trends, fangs seem to be making a comeback. In fact, we even saw a glimpse of it at the 2021 Oscars, where Music Director Questlove wore a pair of gold fangs on the red carpet.
While people are looking for comfortable options, crocs are considered the “road shoes” of the pandemic and are paired with leggings or hoodies.
According to a BBC report, the footwear company posted record sales in the first three months of this year and raised its revenue outlook for 2021. Sales are said to have increased 64 percent in the first quarter compared to the same period the last year.
Crocs chief executive Andrew Rees now expects sales for the entire year to increase by up to 50 percent from an increase of up to 25 percent they predicted in February.
The company is also expected to focus heavily on celebrity and social campaigns in Asia, where it sees the “greatest opportunity for long-term growth.”
