Singer Yo Yo Honey Singh’s wife approached a Delhi court alleging physical, emotional and mental abuse by her husband. She said in her plea that Singh “showed no shame in attacking, intimidating, abusing, deceiving and causing irreparable harm to the woman he was meant to cherish and protect. The plaintiff, on the other hand, has brought (Singh) from the bottomless pit to the light.
Metropolitan Chief Magistrate Tania Singh sent the singer a notice and gave him until August 28 to file a response on it.
It sounds like big announcement week for the Indian film industry. While the Akshay Kumar’s Bellbottom creators unveiled his trailer Telugu star Allu Arjun announced her highly anticipated actor on Tuesday Pushpa will hit theaters this Christmas.
Bellbottom, said to be inspired by actual events, is set in 1984 and follows a RAW agent (Akshay Kumar) in India’s first covert hijacking operation.
Not only did Akshay Kumar’s friends from Bollywood praise the trailer, they also showed their support for the thriller as it will likely mark the beginning of the return of theaters to the country. “The BellBottom team is here to bring the theatrical experience back in style on August 19th. Invigorating trailer, guys. Congratulations Jackky and his team, ”Hrithik Roshan tweeted. While Ajay Devgn wrote: “Congratulations Akki. The Bell Bottom trailer is awesome. I’m so glad you took the initiative to release it in theaters. With you in this endeavor. Always stay one step ahead. Varun Dhawan also praised Akshay Kumar’s decision to take Bellbottom to the movies.
While Delhi, West Bengal, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Punjab and Gujarat have allowed movie theaters to take over at 50% occupation, the government of Maharashtra has yet to follow suit. The Multiplex Association of India tweeted its disappointment at the government’s decision on Tuesday and called on Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray to open theaters.
Tuesday also cheered on Allu Arjun fans as the actor announced that his next film Pushpa will be released in two parts. The first part was titled Pushpa: The Rise, and it will hit screens on December 25 in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam and Hindi.
