FDCI x Lakmé Fashion Week Day 4: Celebrities and designers present luxurious and playful collections

After 3 days of back-to-back fashion shows by some of the country’s top designers plus the next crop of fashion talent, it’s safe to say that the energy of physical fashion shows is palpable in every presentation, collection, and star. celebrities.
On day 4 of fashion week, Janhvi Kapoor, Miss Universe Harnaaz Sandhu and Sanjana Sanghi became stars for Punit Balana, Shivan and Narresh, and Pankaj and Nidhi respectively. Eshaa Amiin, Suneet Verma, Ranna Gill and Ananya Modi Jain also showcased their collections. The day was closed by Tarun Tahiliani who presented his ‘Luxury Pret’ collection with Kriti Sanon like the highlight of the show.

Pankaj and Nidhi presented a collection that included everything from contrasting shades and floral embroidery to statement sleeves and structured silhouettes, just like in the show-stopping outfit. Sanjana Sanghi descended the ramp.

Ranna Gill presented ‘Casablanca Calling’ which celebrates Marrakech with a modern and playful collection featuring Uzbek patterns, florals, paisleys and stripes in vibrant jewel tones.

Janhvi Kapoor walked the ramp Punishes Balanafrom her ‘Lakshmi’ collection which “is inspired by the journey of an urban and cosmopolitan young girl, Lakshmi who has traveled a lot, explored the world, but is very grounded. The collection is an artistic expression that beautifully blends culture and form of art deeply rooted in Rajasthan.

Ananya Jain Modi presented her collection in collaboration with the NBA, paying homage to basketball culture. The vibrant sets in this all-weather collection feature embellishments inspired by the blueprint of a basketball court, the net, the New York skyline, iconic NBA teams and the NBA logo.
Harnaaz Sandhou closed the show by design duo Shivan and Narresh whose Fresconian series draws inspiration from the Shekhawati region of Rajasthan and its frescoes and murals, contemporary through a modern lens.

Suneet Verma’s “The Eternal Lightness of Being” collection saw a dominance of black and red ensembles with colorful thread embroideries as well as structured silhouettes. The collection celebrates life and the present moment and the pieces can be worn day or night.
The fourth day ended with master dressmaker Tarun Tahiliani presenting its Luxury Pret collection with Kriti Sanon like the highlight of the show. The collection is an “expression of modern India and is global at the same time. It shows the fusion of modern and traditional silhouettes as well as drapes with technology and aerodynamics. “This collection is a new vision for the future generation that is confident, experimental, has fashion in its roots and values avant-garde design,” as shared on the official Lakmé Fashion Week Instagram profile.
