Grammys 2021: Noah Cyrus’ red carpet look elicits mixed reactions on social media

American singer-songwriter Noah Cyrus’ Grammy Awards The 2021 red carpet look – in a cream-colored dress from Schiaparelli’s SS21 Couture collection – grabbed the headlines as one of this year’s ‘memorable’ looks. The dress, with a fabric bow extended above her head to her thighs, featured a plunging neckline with a floor-length skirt. Soon, the oversized voluminous details of the look drew massive reactions on social media.

The 63rd Annual Awards Ceremony at the Los Angeles Convention Center, USA, saw Noah, the singer’s younger sister Miley Cyrus, pair the outfit with a mix of silver and gold jewelry.

“I feel so honored to be able to wear this piece tonight,” she told Italian-American journalist Giuliana Rancic ahead of the ceremony.

Stylist Brett Alan Nelson spoke about the look of hollywoodreporter.com. “It’s both angelic and sculptural,” he adds. “Noah is still kind of a new artist so I wasn’t sure what the showroom would answer when I asked. I pulled some other stuff just in case, but when the yes came back that we could have this, I was so excited. What Daniel (Roseberry) does is pure art in fashion.

According to the website, Nelson finished Cyrus’ look with a mix of jewelry pieces from West Hollywood Roseark, Jason from Beverly Hills and Italian designer Marco Panconesi, who created statement jewelry for Givenchy and Balenciaga before launching his eponymous brand. Nelson said of Panconesi: “I track his social media because he makes some really cool pieces.”

The dress drew funny responses on social media, with viewers comparing it to whipped cream, a sanitary napkin, tissue paper and more.

However, there were also some appreciable messages.
