Gwen Stefani appears in a neon yellow bralette and skirt at the 2022 Met Gala – Footwear News
Gwen Stefani gives a lesson in bright colors for fashion’s biggest night. The ‘Hollaback Girl’ singer attended the 2022 Met Gala last night in New York and walked the red carpet, where she posed boldly in an eye-catching look. Some other celebrities who appeared at the event include Kim Kardashian, SZA, Sarah Jessica Parker, Megan Thee Stallion and many more.
For the outfit, Stefani opted for a neon yellow dress by Vera Wang which brought the drama and packed a lively punch. The act consisted of a pointy plunge bralette that exposed her midriff a bit. The skirt had a puffy design and also featured floral cutouts, a striking train and appliqués that added a fun and dramatic touch.
Stefani went monochromatic and accessorized with gloves matching the hue of her dress and contrasting eye makeup.
Although her shoes were covered by the puffy hem of her skirt, it’s safe to say she wore a pair of pumps or heeled sandals that unified her bright ensemble.
Stefani has also been striving to make a name for herself in the fashion industry. In 2004, she created her LAMB line of clothing, shoes and accessories. She has also modeled cosmetic campaigns for L’Oréal and Gxve.
The theme for the 2022 Met Gala is “In America: An Anthology of Fashion”, exploring the foundations of American fashion – specifically, identifiers of American style and individual designers. The exhibit will include 100 garments by independent designers and couturiers from the 1800s to the mid-1900s in the period rooms of the museum’s American Wing. There will also be “freeze frames” of film thumbnails in each room, showcasing the aesthetics of eight different directors: Janicza Bravo, Sofia Coppola, Julie Dash, Tom Ford, Regina King, Martin Scorsese, Autumn de Wilde and Chloe Zhao. Supported by Instagram and Condé Nast, the event raises funds for future exhibits and enhancements to the Costume Institute. The exhibition will be open to the public from May 7 and, together with Part 1, which opened last September, will end on September 5, 2022.
