Manoj Bajpayee, Ayushmann Khurrana, Urmila Matondkar pray for the health of Dilip Kumar: “We wish a speedy recovery to our great legend”


Hours after Dilip Kumar was hospitalized on Sunday after complaining of shortness of breath, celebrities, politicians and fans across the country have expressed their wishes and prayers for the veteran actor. Dilip Kumar is currently admitted to Khar Hinduja Hospital in Mumbai.

The actor’s Twitter account updated fans on his health earlier today, posting: “Dilip Sahab has been admitted to the non-Covid PD Hinduja Khar hospital for routine tests and investigations. He had episodes of shortness of breath. A team of health workers led by Dr Nitin Gokhale takes care of him. Please keep Sahab in your prayers and stay safe. Among the many online users who responded to the tweet were actors Manoj Bajpayee and Urmila Matondkar.

Both expressed concern about Dilip Kumar’s health. “Pray for Dilip Saab’s speedy recovery !! “Bajpayee wrote, while Matondkar tweeted:”I wish our great legend a speedy recovery.

Ayushmann Khurrana also took advantage of his Instagram stories and posted a poem, wishing Dilip Kumar a speedy recovery.

NCP chief Sharad Pawar, who visited Kumar in the hospital, tweeted: “Today I visited legendary actor Shri Dilip Kumarji at Khar Hinduja Hospital to check on his health and treatment, along with veteran actress Smt Saira Banu. I wish Shri Dilip Kumarji a speedy recovery and good health!

Union Minority Affairs Minister Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi also expressed his best wishes for Kumar, sharing an old black and white photo of himself with the actor. “Get well soon, Dilip Kumar Saheb, की दुआ साथ, जल्द जल्द स्वस्थ हों, ”Naqvi wrote next to the photo.

Dilip Kumar’s wife Saira Banu confirmed her hospitalization to indianexpress.com in the morning. “After we got out of breath, we took Dilip Sahab to Khar Road Hospital at 8:30 am. The doctors are treating him and we have done some tests, we are waiting for the reports. Please pray for him that he will feel better and that we can get him home quickly, ”she said.
