Naomi Campbell attended the private funeral of Andre Leon Talley today in New York with her many fashion friends. Talley’s ceremony was held at the Abyssinian Baptist Church in Harlem to celebrate his life and successful career.
The model wore a white dress hidden under a huge white fur coat. The coat swallows up almost everything the model wears, keeping her warm and comfortable for the service.
The dress featured a v-neckline and a crisp white collar. Campbell wore a fascinator that sat on the side of her head, also in white. The track pro carried a white and gold chain purse in her hands as she walked alongside the others. The model finished the ensemble with a gold chain with the letter “A” in a nod to André.
Talley is considered an influential figure in fashion. He advocated for diversity in the industry and on the catwalk, setting a goal to see change in the world he loved. Talley worked alongside Anna Wintour for many years at Vogue magazine, leaving her mark on the industry.
Campbell continued to pay tribute to her beloved friend, wearing white and gold square toe heels. Others who witnessed the dark precession were Talley’s friends and colleagues like Marc Jacobs and Vivienne Westwood.
