Oscars 2021: Margot Robbie’s Chanel dress took 205 hours to make
Actor Margot Robbie is a stunner, both on and off screen. In fact, that’s a huge understatement. As she walked the red carpet on Sunday for the 93rd Academy Awards, she looked effortless, stylish and gorgeous in her Chanel gown. The look stands out, among other things, with her hairstyle, which includes chic bangs.
A Popsugar report says the actor has been a Chanel devotee for some time, having chosen the French fashion house for some of his previous releases and premieres.
For this year’s Oscars, Robbie teamed up with stylist Kate Young on the metallic lace mermaid dress the report said was based on a look from Chanel’s Fall 2019 Couture collection.
All good things are thought to take time, and this one, this very Chanel dress took up to 205 hours!
As the photos show, the dress is finely crafted with lots of details including delicate straps and buttons in the center. The actor even opted for Chanel Fine Jewelry.
She was quoted as saying Vogue: “I chose this dress because it has all the know-how and luxury of Chanel, but it’s easy and not too difficult.”
