Review of Necessary’s new shampoo and conditioner

[ad_1]

Here is some general information about me and my hair: I am the proud owner of abused and heat damaged curls, which makes me very, very suspicious of new products. When I go on vacation with my boyfriend, he uses the hotel’s mini shampoo and conditioner bottles. I laugh as I unwrap the ten hair products I need to look half-decent. It’s not just about styling products. If I use a shampoo that doesn’t suit my lifestyle, I’m going to come out with insane amounts of frizz and flyaways that no hair oil can cure.

So I was skeptical about trying Necessary’s new shampoo and conditioner. On the one hand, while I love their body products, they are not exclusively a hair brand. For hair like mine that needs an absurd amount of care and attention, a brand that isn’t specific to hair makes me suspicious. On the other hand, this shampoo and conditioner duo is marketed for scalp health. I’m not bragging, but I have an itchy, dandruff-free scalp.

Forget about scalp healthI thought pessimistically, unwrapping the products. Where’s the shampoo that will magically seal all my split ends?

I thought about not using them for a second, but seeing that Necessaire is a must-have for beauty editors, and that I didn’t want to be left out of the group chat, I decided to give it a go. The shampoo gave an intense lather, despite being sulfate free which I liked very much considering that my bangs are only sweat sponges during the summer. Then, after a good massage of the scalp, I rinsed it and I felt my new hair perfectly clean. Unfortunately, it was so clean that it almost seemed a bit dry. Hit aI thought, because I was in a bad mood.

But then came the conditioner. Upon impact with my hair, all of the tangles I wore during my days wearing my curly hair immediately came off. It had the consistency of a regular conditioner with the intensity of a hair mask, and I immediately forgot all my suspicions and started loving these products. After the shower, I let my hair air dry for 20 minutes before going to the hairdryer, as is my ritual. I ended up with frizz-free, nourished, clean, and baby-like hair at the end.

So now officially let me say: Necessary I’m sorry to be skeptical about your hair products because they are truly and honestly wonderful. I dare say, they are now a necessary part of my shower routine.
