Hong Kong actor Tony Leung plays the role of Wenwu or The Mandarin in Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. He is the real Mandarin, not the counterfeit Mandarin played by Ben Kingsley in Iron Man 3. The character, created entirely for MCU, is the father of Shang-Chi and the leader of the Ten Rings, a shady terrorist organization, who was behind it. the kidnapping of Tony Stark in the first MCU movie, Iron Man. Unlike the evil version of the comics, the Mandarin in the movie appears to be a more complex character. He is both scary and not

Shang-Chi isn’t just an MCU movie, it’s also a martial arts movie. And so the action, at least in the trailer, feels a lot more polished and planned than most Marvel tariffs. Sure, there’s some magic here, but the movie still looks pretty grounded when it comes to superhero movies. The action choreography looks absolutely top notch.

Secondary characters

Michelle Yeoh stars as Jiang Nan in Shang-Chi, who appears to be a mother figure to the superhero. Perhaps because his father turned out to be evil personified. Awkwafina is Katy, a friend of Shang-Chi, who is unaware of the legacy and past of the superhero. Overall, Shang-Chi’s supporting cast looks very solid.

Abomination vs. Wong

The tantalizing final shot in the trailer has none other than Doctor Strange’s friend Wong, taking on Abomination, the supervillain Edward Norton’s Hulk faced in 2008’s The Incredible Hulk. They fight in what looks like a gladiatorial tournament. Before this trailer, it wasn’t clear if Abomination of Wong will appear in the movie, and it suddenly looks like the movie is going to be a lot bigger than most MCU fans expected.

Visuals

Being an MCU movie, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings are visually stunning. Bill Pope, known for the films Baby Driver and The Matrix, took care of the cinematographer and did a great job again. The visual effects quality is also excellent, and if the film disappoints in other respects, we can be sure that it will more than make up for all of that with some spectacle.
