Stella Moris looks stunning in a lilac dress for her wedding to Julian Assange in London prison
WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange tied the knot on Wednesday to his longtime partner Stella Moris in a low-key setting. wedding ceremony being held inside Belmarsh prison in south east London.
Assange50, last year was granted permission to marry Moris – with whom he had two children – in prison with four guests and two witnesses present.
Moris arrived at the prison looking absolutely stunning in a floor-length corseted lilac dress designed by Lady Vivienne Westwood and Andreas Kronthaler.
It was associated with a tulle veil which featured embroidered messages from the couple’s friends and families, including powerful words such as “valiant”, “savage”, “relentless” and “enduring and free love”.
Additionally, the 38-year-old lawyer also slipped a pink rose inside her corset and wore a pair of purple croc platform high heels.
Speaking of the dress, Moris wrote in an op-ed for The Guardian“The dress is designed by Julian’s friends, Dame Vivienne Westwood and Andreas Kronthaler. I am honored to wear their beautiful creation. It is a symbol of our love and our defiance in the face of this cruel situation.
Assange wore a tartan kilt specially designed by the designer in honor of his Scottish roots, according to reports.
“I am very happy but I am very sad. I wish he were here. What we are going through is inhuman. He’s the most amazing person in the world and he should be free. But our love will carry us through,” an emotional Moris said in a speech outside prison after the wedding.
