“Thank you for my birthday present”: Suniel Shetty encourages KL Rahul, the beau of her daughter Athiya, as he marks a century at Lord’s

Love seems to be brewing again between Bollywood and cricket. While the Indian cricket team showed great shots in the recently concluded test match at Lord’s in London, Suniel Shetty, who turned 60 on August 11, applauded her daughter’s alleged boyfriend KL Rahul’s sublime 127 hasn’t been released.

“Congratulations and God bless Baba. PS – thank you for my birthday present! Suniel Shetty wrote, adding: “100 cricket mecca!”

Athiya Shetty also took to her social media platform to share a message of appreciation for Rahul. She shared a video of the cricketer with emoticons 🙌❤️.

Athiya, when in London with her brother Aahan, made sure to have a good time with KL Rahul. Anushka Sharma had shared a post on her Instagram account, where Athiya was also seen standing next to Rahul. Athiya and KL Rahul also shared several PDA posts on their social media, sparking relationship rumors.

Recently, several photos of Athiya and Rahul have appeared online. While the alleged couple would not initially appear in photos together, they were both included in a photo shared online by Ishant Sharma’s wife. On several occasions, Anushka Sharma, who is also in the UK with her husband Virat Kohli, has also credited Athiya for the photos she shared of her, baby Vamika and Virat.

Earlier, Suniel Shetty was asked about Athiya’s alleged relationship with the cricketer star, to which he said they were brilliant together. He had told Etimes in an interview, “I think they’re brilliant together. They make a great couple, don’t they?

On the work side, Athiya, who made her Bollywood debut in 2015 with Hero, has also been seen in Motichoor Chaknachoor and Mubarakan. Suniel recently finished filming his Malayalam film Marakkar: Lion of the Arabian Sea.
