The Brooklyn Vintage Emporium where all your denim dreams come true
Like snorkeling the Great Barrier Reef or dropping acid for the first time, diving head first into the dizzyingly large world of vintage clothing can be a bit daunting. Having a competent sherpa helps to keep you stable and pointed in the right direction. And as far as we’re concerned, you’d be hard pressed to find a better vintage guru than Raggedy Threads founder Jaime Wong.
Over two decades ago, Wong began spinning the grails back at Los Angeles’ legendary Rose Bowl flea market, before opening his own stand-alone boutique in downtown Los Angeles in 2002. In 2016, she cut the ribbon on a second Raggedy Threads outpost in Williamsburg, and it’s been a neighborhood staple ever since – brimming with all the tantalizing ragged denim, perfectly washed out sweatshirts and pristine souvenir jackets you could dream of .
For the last episode of #ShopTalk on Instagram @GQRecommends, we asked Wong to show off all of his latest finds and rarest gems. Here are her picks for impeccable vintage garms worth investing in Pronto.
