‘The Handmaid’s Tale’ season 4 release time and end of each episode


The wait is over: The Handmaid’s Tale is back after two and a half years. Unfortunately, COVID-19 has halted production for Season 4, but ultimately we’re returning to Gilead, and the fifth episode of Season 4, titled “Chicago,” premieres Wednesday, May 12 at midnight EST on Hulu.

Hulu posted a synopsis of what fans can expect for the upcoming fourth season:

June (Elisabeth Moss) retaliates against Gilead as a fierce rebel leader, but the risks she takes bring her with unexpected and dangerous new challenges. Her quest for justice and revenge threatens to consume her and destroy her dearest relationships.

Over the past two weeks, the first four episodes of Season 4 have been created, and you can get a breakdown of all the shocking moments (and traumatic deaths) here.

In even more exciting news, Moss herself directed three episodes of Season 4: Episode 3, “The Crossing” (read Max Minghella’s interview on working with Moss here); episode 8, “Testimony”; and episode 9, “Progress”.

“It was something that we played with in Season 3 – something that we had tried to make work – but it’s still very difficult for the lead actor to achieve,” Moss said. Deadline in January.
