This Amazon fashion brand is so good for kids
Before having kids, I wondered what my children’s MO shopping would be like. Would I have any problem handing over money for the mini-me parts of the labels that I have personally purchased – or would I hesitate to spend on something that would be quickly outdated, or else destroyed, by the difficult life of youth? Would I think of everything I put in their tiny bodies or would I search for the closest clean thing and call it a day? Who knew!
The answer is a mixture of the two, really. I love clothes and can’t ignore the cute side of a really on-trend and cut-back look … but I’m also practical. The first few months were a wash – how important was clothes if life was just a series of diaper changes and regurgitation? – but now that my daughter is two, I really love shopping for things that I really love. I tend to focus on pieces that are just smaller versions of things I would like to wear and, if possible, unisex in color or cut (I’m in the aesthetic mood and want to be able to reuse if we finish. by having a son someday).
I only flirted with Amazon a little bit when she was little, relying more on giveaways and shower giveaways, but I’ve been hooked on Amazon Essentials for her ever since I found out. There are plenty of “I would wear this in my size!” In progress, and the quality is comparable to versions priced at $ 30 or more.
Here is some of what I bought recently, as well as a few other things that I am considering adding to my cart.
Cable Knit Pullover 1/4 Zip
A camel cable knit with a zip neck is the kind of item I would tell anyone, at any stage of life, to wear more often. Toddlers are not excluded.
Quilted coat with thick hood
After finding my watery eyes at the cost of a few kid’s puffs, I was delighted to see how good the Amazon-friendly version was when it arrived in the mail (there are cuffs that fit snugly around the wrist and thumb holes!).
Long Sleeve Knit Thermos, 3 Pack
Basic doesn’t have to mean boring. Thermals are great for fall and winter, and loaded prints help camouflage paint or food stains.
Fashion knit sneakers
If I like it for me, I like it for the kids. The vibe of the knit sneakers is sportswear with an elegant and comfortable touch for small ankles.
Fleece lined Sherpa jacket
The teddy bear fleece with a contrasting zipper is cool for all ages, and this basic version immediately caught my eye. There are tons of colors to choose from, but I loved this deep caramel.
Long Sleeve 2 Piece Pajama Set
When it comes to children’s pajamas, there really are thousands of options. Bright, cartoonish prints are everywhere, but this monochrome ensemble with a touch of neon feels upgraded.
Soft touch ruffle sweater
Super soft, super trendy: I already own more than a few blouses and sweaters with an oversized skirt collar so that was an obvious yes.
Something about the rubber soles and thick colored stripes speaks to my shoe language. This pair feels more grown-up than a playground, which is always a win in my book.
Quilted cocoon coat
Just as I am unable to resist another cute coat, my daughter will be overwhelmed. The quilted and sheepskin lining here is too good to ignore.
Water resistant snow bib
If you are in an area of the country that is getting snowy, you need to take care of that, in terms of your wardrobe. The super pale blush and the not crazy price tag made this one a winner.
