‘Weirdest Creation Yet’ Revealed in Cloudmonster Maximalist Shoe – Footwear News

We’ve unveiled its most cushioned look yet – a performance running shoe that the brand has dubbed its “weirdest creation yet”.
The latest shoe to release from the Swiss running company – which won the 2021 FNAA Brand of the Year award – is the Cloudmonster, a road-ready maximalist running look built with ample cushioning underfoot. The shoe, according to On, offers a “truly monster ride.”

The shoe has been fitted with its famous CloudTec midsole, which features “Cloud” elements that compress upon landing to reduce impact. The CloudTec is paired with an energy-charged Speedboard, a plate and an atypical rocker shape that the brand claims provides high energy return ideal for long runs. Additionally, On used its durable, temperature-resistant Helion superfoam for this shoe, which it says was used to provide better cushioning.
In addition, the Cloudmonster shoe contains elements of durability. It is said that more than 30% of the shoe is made from recycled materials.
The combination of components and technology, according to On, makes the Cloudmonster the ideal shoe for energizing daily runs, longer rides and recovery runs.
The On Cloudmonster will arrive today via On-running.com and select retail partners for $170.
On, one of the hottest brands in the ultra-competitive running market, has been the subject of several headlines lately. Most notably, the brand was at the center of the industry when it went public in September 2021.
